Telegram will soon release its cryptocurrency called Gram.
The first ranks of Gram coins are said to be sliding in the next two months. This was stated by three Gram investors who spoke to the New York Times.
Telegram is also said to be making Gram available to 200 million to 300 million users of Telegram messaging applications that exist throughout the world. The application made by Pavel Durov also claims that Gram will become the new online currency, and also a new way to move money to all parts of the world.
Telegram’s ambition to work on this cryptocurrency has been seen since early 2018, when they received an injection of funds amounting to USD 1.7 billion and several large investors, including several venture capital from Silicon Valley.
But behind that, Telegram must also meet the target, where their cryptocurrency must have been released at least on the 31st of January. If not, then they will lose the injection of funds.
So it is not strange if now Telegram is trying hard to meet the deadline.
It is not yet clear how the attitude of the regulators or rulers towards the cryptocurrency owned by this Telegram. Even more so if you look at the telegram attitude that decentralized the message delivery system, which made them blocked in their home country, namely Russia.
