Ripple on Fire, as Coinfield Exchange Announces it Could be its Base Cryptocurrency

Canada’s top cryptocurrency exchange, with a vast portfolio of digital assets has unveiledits desire to upgrade its product range with Ripple’s digital coin as a base cryptocurrency for 30 crypto pairs.

“We’ve been evaluating the possibility of adding #XRP as the base currency for 30 direct crypto pairs along with USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, JPY & AED. Part of our expansion plan in 69 countries,” the exchange wrote in its Twitter.

CoinField prides itself as a platform committed to the needs and demands of both cryptocurrency veterans and novice traders. Adding XRP to the list of its base coins may give the exchange an additional competitive edge in terms of fees and transaction speed. Moreover, considering the vast community of Ripple supporters, it can bring new users to the platform and increase the exchange’s daily trading volumes.

Ripple’s community welcomed the news, with many users responded to the tweet, urging the company to move from words to deeds as XRP and the technology behind the coin was about to change the outdated financial system, taking it to the next level of evolution.

While the decision has not been made yet, the announcement may have catalyzed a new XRP rally. The third largest digital asset by market value jumped above $0.5500 handle, gaining over 23% in the past 24 hours. At the time of writing, XRP/USD is changing hands at $0.5577 enjoying a robust bullish trend after a brief correction at the beginning of the week.
